Hi all. I'm usually on the BRD part of this site so I feel like I'm taking an exotic trip by posting here 
I recently bought a bunch of old DDR canteens from a bad picture. When they arrived it appears that I had a bit of a surprise. From what I can tell I have an excellent condition 1942 dated tropical canteen. However, since I know squat about the details of such things I thought I should check here to make sure I represent it accurately when I put it on eBay.
Are all the pieces original and correct for this type? How's mine stack up with others out there? No dirt, no moth damage, no rips, etc. Just a bit of rust on the buckle and the leather below it is a little stiff (rest of the leather is supple and not dry at all).
