I have a pair identical to those and I was under the impression that they were of Swiss manufacture.

I have had several pairs of them through the years a lot of thoughts on them I believe they were much German used by all especially mountain troops could they be foreign made on contract such as the Spanish Mirma brand used and contracted by the Luftwaffe. I have always had them with the FG painted can nice pair! timothy

These were supposedly found in a rucksack that belonged to a member of a motorcycle messenger platoon (Kraftradmeldezug).
