    Are these original Y Straps??

I have been going through some boxes of field gear and found these..Are they original late war Y straps, or post war made using some original parts?

The back strap looks like it was taken from a set of Cavalry Y Straps and these have a RB#. If some of the leather looks blue it is actually grey.

    Thanks
    Glenn

Glenn, my guts telling me they look real. I like the whole construction and not surprised they don't look a-typical. Mike.

                hoi Glenn

i find it strange combination,, but why not original, are the 2 rings on the back not the same like on a backpack, just mine opinion,

                greetings Bruno

It is a strange combination but in hand they look good,my thinking was something last ditch late in the war...My main concerns are the following.

                  1) The main straps leather is not as wide as normal Y straps.(see attached photos)
                  2) The straps are just natural tan leather on the exterior.
                  3) The 2 main strap upper D rings are different.

                  Thanks

Thank you...How exactly did the Cz army post war modify them?

They added leather under the O-ring and added supporting straps.

+1 and mostly from italian green/grey leather.

Great, that would explain the grey leather then...Are these worth anything?

I think likely modified from Luftwaffe Y straps.
