German Winter Gloves ?

I found those gloves and I wonder if they are German and period - they do look like it, but I have never seen them before.
They are unmarked.

Any feedback is appreciated - thanks !

They look like Canadian or Alaskan trapper's, moose hide, cold weather gauntlets.
