strange made MP38u40 pouch

Hello,

I have one pair of MP38u40 magazine pouches.
Left side pouch is strange made.
There are some holes on leather straps and cloth.
What is this? Please let me know your opinions.

leather straps maybe reissued from other equipments parts ,but why holes in cloth? very strange..

The pouches seem to be standard "clg" pouches but the straps have been altered using rivets? At some point later the rivets have been removed then sewn. The sewing seems to be newer and not the right color thread as typical for this manufacture of pouch. My guess is someone messed with post war.

Is there original clg pouches that used rivets in construction?
I think clg stamps on leather straps are original.
If someone messed with post war, it is necessary to prepare straps that have original
clg stamps.
