Rubber Gas Can

I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this gas can. It is dated 1938 and marked "RADIUM". I presume this is the manufacturer, Radium Gummiwerke GmbH aka "aqd". Two other examples have made forum appearances and are rumored to be a Kriegsmarine trial, but no evidence was presented to substantiate that claim.
