thanks for the nice MN43 photos. I have 3-4 MN43 myself, all worn condition, but it is obvious this manufacturer used brown straps. Can you show pictures of the screw cap please?

And another thing: MN43 red bottles should NOT be marked. Is that true with your canteen as well ?

I don't have the full screw-cap pictured in this shot, but it does show that its the plastic version with the large ribs. The other shot is the marking on the felt, and YES, the red steel flask has NO maker mark or year.

I did find another shot of the canteen with the cup removed. No marking on the red steel flask.

Just looked I have a red FBN 43 one marked on the top of the bottle below the spout. timothy

It should be FWBN but as long as it is not complete, matching and untouched it does not help
