I bought a new item. What do you think about this? Original or fake?

Original sturmrucksack ( replacment for A-frame ) for LW units.

Yes, nice original. It seems many of the blue Sturmrucksacks and also the blue "Heer-style" Rucksacks were made my the same company - I had several, and noticed that most are stamped 0/0378/0007 - as this one.

Seems to be quite a lot of 0007 knocking about at the moment and given your location I would be a bit suspect, they really have got field gear down to a T now. The stitching looks very white on the smaller areas and what is the staining to the pack straps on the inside near rivets, have you a closer up picture? Perhaps assembled/finished post war from original parts?

Rubbish. Same preserved with same coded pop-up from time to time together with abused ones. Very nice and genuine "Sturmpack"

Most of those 0007 stamped rucksack in mint condition are found in GERMANY so please stop writing that kind of **** that if found in Poland than must be fake/crap.

There are many ORIGINAL items with RB Nr with this very specific ending. Fake are usualy MP pouches, shovel covers, cover for cutters, etc.etc.

IT IS original late war sturmrucksackin blau grau cloth - that's all.

So the second picture showing the reverse of the pack, looking at the upper D rings, these are attached to the leather that carries them, you can see the thread stitching them is for want of a better word toned, shows some age? The whole attachment of that assembly to the canvas shows a very white thread. Hand stitching would be no problem as the leather comes with the holes already prepared. Same observation about the thread on the bottom D's and the closure strap? Yet the D's at the bottom look a bit used?

It is a fact that some of the best reproductions come from Poland, I could try and find the person that makes them if you want as he is no doubt on here. Many repros obviously are shipped world wide including Germany.

I was suggesting that the bag could be assembled from parts, not so far fetched as you would believe. I like a mint item to have aged at the same rate and I have samples of unfinished leather parts, buckles and threads too so it is not an off the cuff remark and I know there are plenty of examples that have survived.

You do have a point actually...

But on the other hand, these are 50 euros, its just not worth it to spend the time to fake...

any closeups on these?
