I have the opportunity to buy this rucksack. Far from being an equipment expert, I would appreciate some advice on wether this is a period German piece and if it is a gebirgs backpack. It has RB number? All info would be appreciated. Thanx Jacques

yes it is a nice german period rucksack - but not a standard GJ rucksack.

Original mid to late war rucksack ( I call it M42/43 as I have seen examples date 42/43 - suspect they show up in use in late 1942 ).Comment
