well, I'll go out on a limb here and state what I dont care about it. ofcourse I could be dead wrong. please let me know if any of you feel I am. I dont like the whole pull string assembly. the pull string seems to new and the fuse just doesnt look right to me. the can itself looks like a cheap knockoff. I dont see the primer paint that I like to see around the base of the can and the stenciling looks strange to me. also the WaA. just dont look right to me. shouldnt it be stenciled? I dont even like the ink on the makers mark on the stick. I would like other peoples opinions on what I am stating here to see if maybe I just dont know whats the Hell is up. this is just my personal opinion and I do know there are many out there that can put my knowledge to shame. please let me know your thoughts for even my own future outllooks. plus on a side note, why is my friggin' typewriter typing like this? I wouldn't touch this one either. Here is what I believe to be wrong.

1) The cap and end screw cap are not original to the handle. So why was it replaced and why is there no visible damage to the handle?
2) The handle has hand branded ord codes.
3) The collar appears to be repainted.
4) The pull cord is missing a porcelain bead near the fuse.
5) The can has been lightly sanded down, these are not the marks of a frag sleeve.
6) The can may have been repainted.
7) There is no patina on the can or any sign of an undercoat.
9) You cannot see how the can has been deactivated. Classic fraudulent trick.
10) His feedback.

This is at the very least a put together sexed up stickie, with possibly a reproduction can. I have requested the tell tale photos, so we will see for certain either in the photo or his reply.

By the way his explanation of "vdk 1940" for Kabel- u. Metallwerke Neumeyer AG, Nuernberg. is nonesense, it would be stamped va for Kabel.

Willi. Glenn. I dont know if you are saying that yours is like the one being discussed as far as similarities but I dont feel yours matches the points discussed at all. your handle stamping looks totally machine produced unlike the example. your can shows signs of age pitting under the paint and the stenciling is in my opinion, textbook looking. plus I see your primer on the bottom edge of can. ofcourse I am being partial to your grenade for I have one pretty much identical to yours except I have no instructions printed on the can. but other thn that they are identical. (same maker and year) I will post it tomarrow to show it. it even has the slight lean on the can to the threads as yours does and the overpaint on the handle. mine is stamped RR1940 (reverse RR's ofcourse) and a stenciled WaA. both located on head top and a RR1940 stamped at the top of the handle. same as yours. as I said, I'll post it tomarrow on this thread. Ok, why I dont like the one on ebay.

First, pull string is wrong, thats the one found on practice grenades. Second, no clear photo of the cans inside. Third, those have to be the most goofy looking markings I have ever seen on a grenade, And I have seen a few of these things. And finally the stenciling is just not right. It doesn't match up with any of the examples I have. On top of that the poor quality photos of the details are a dead giveaway, why have such a clear photo of the waffenampt on the end cap and not a clear photo of the can?

End cap looks good and the fuze.

That grenade aint got sh*t on yours Willi Textbook RR example that speaks for itself.

Are you trying to say something about it? Or did I just misread that part.
