I received a few months ago these "knobelbecher" .They came from east of France. Well marked L.B.A . Comments are welcome

They look fine to me, in fact they look great!. I would say that they have been threated in a way ( fat?). Is that correct?

Hi Pierre,

these boots are a very nice pair of one of the early types of WH/LW knobelbecher, identical to the ones I have posted a few days ago:http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ad.php?t=78881
They have been re-nailed and new pieces of hard rubber have been put inside the beschlagt but that's not a period job imo!They're not stamped "LBA" but "B.A",just like mine, which stands for Bekleidungs Amt!

Thanks for your quick replies As Jan said, i've put fat on these boots, the leather is quite rigid . Marks on them are :

if you love to believe that they 're LBA-stamped go ahead thinking that by any means mon vieux,but B.A.Fu/B.A.Bn./B.A.you-name-it was a very seldom encountered(nearly always on shoes/boots)form of "Bekleidungs Amt" stamping found on WH and RAD items alike (the famous exception which confirms the rule.....a standardized/similar detail between two somewhat different 3rd Reich Organizations !)!
LBA(nameyourfavouritedepothere)stamped boots were so stamped under the soles,between the latter and the heels and on the external inner or outer upper part of the shaft,very close to the edge!
Please notice that your boots are dated 37 (for 1937) while mine are dated 39 (for 1947 ...joking!)
