need help with these boots on ebay

my dad is thinking on bidding on these boots but i have second opinions that they are false please can any one rectifity this peice

Hi Craig,

I saw this come up too, but quickly decided that they were not for me. If they were Gebirgs officer, they are certainly not any standard pattern that I've seen. If they are an officer's boot that was non-standard issue, then they would not be waffen amt'd.

They are in fact very interesting looking. Fortunately for me, they do not fit into my collecting interests so I don't have to take a chance on them.

I hope someone can tell us what they are (and are not).
