Entrenching shovel and carrier OK?

Hello all,

I would like to get some opinions on this set if possible? Just starting to look into the equipment items, and the shovels especially seem hard to find and very expensive?!

I am told the shovel itself might not be German made, but used by the Germans in WW2?

cover is a copy imho

spade is not a german ww2 standard pattern spade

Agree with Tom. Not otiginal cover and not typical shovel with fake markings.

Thanks guys! The dealer selling that one assured me it was all genuine...

Here are another two, from a different person:

1) Folding example, carrier is 1943 stamped, and also 'BAL' ink stmaped?









2) Straight shovel, carrier 1942:

Folding shovel wth cover are originals. The straight shovel cover is also original but shovel itself is SWISS not german.

Folding shovel looks ok,

straight shovel: cover is genuine, spade is swiss (Basel.... ring a bell ? )
