German saddle?

I picked this up at a flea market last weekend. Is this a German military saddle? There are no markings I could find. The web stuff looks out of place.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I saw the guy I bought it from and he gave me this address for a saddle similar to mine on the Collector's Guild site. They call it an M25 saddle.

Can anyone confirm whether they're right or wrong? The saddle is too big for me to keep and I plan on trading or selling it on the estand. I want to make sure it's all legit before doing so.

I am about 99% sure that this saddle is WWII era Japanese Army. I have a near mint one and it matches up very well. There may be some of the fabric straps on yours that are more modern (look to be Nylon....but not sure) otherwise it looks very nice and complete.

That's an angle I hadn't thought of. Looking at the two Japanese saddles I could find on WAF they do look my saddle and the one on the Collectors' Guild.

I'll take a closer look for markings. I may have overlooked something because I wasn't looking for kanji.

The only markings that I have seen on Japanese saddles or really anything leather of the Japanese military is stamped in ink on the flesh side of the item....so that will be the inside or the underside of any strap or part
