Gas mask container covered in cloth???

    Gas mask container covered in cloth???

    Can anyone give opinons on this gas mask container. Covered in what appears to be, custom made cloth !?

                  Bundeswehr.......

                  The big number is the Vers. Nr. (Versorgungs Nummer) , (the same use as Nato Stock Number)

                  The other number is the year (1956)

                  Also you can see the rubber ring which is normal with these.... these are often removed and sold as original WW2 rubber dealings (which obviously they are not)

                          Funny as I saw this one in a museum in Mont Ormel (near Falaise) it is in italian camo cloth.

                            What kind of mask came with it? Because I see a Pre-ww2 Czech filter in you pics.
