    Gebirgsjaeger ski-mountain shoes

    Hallo,

These are picture from my GJ shoes, RbNr stamped 1944 dated. Textbook.
These have 6 pair of eyelets, but I saw quite always 7 pair of eyelets.

Perhaps a 1944-economy measure or a different model?

    Hope someone helps me!

    Thank you!

Earlier ones had more than 6 eyelets, so I guess you could be right with your economy theory
Nice set btw, you only need to find period laces for them

I've never believed that they require 7 pairs of eyelets to be authentic. There are a number of variations from one manufacture to the next, so perhaps the specifications were not that precise.

I don't believe that the number of eyelets would make much of an economic impact either. There is nothing economic about these boots. Even in 1944, the materials and workmanship are remarkable.

You have a really nice pair of boots. Thanks for showing them.

            -Matt

I confirm 6 or 7 eyelets has nothing to do with early or late war ...
You can see them also with eyelets mixed with hooks !
Nice pair of little worn boots .
