    Help with bakelite codes

    Ciao a tutti
I have a question, please help me.
In my archives, I have a 1938 dated bakelite list codes.
But, in this list, there is no gfc that is a most common maker on bakelite cups.
Exist or not another list with gfc and/or other codes?
    Thanks, Giancarlo.

    Hello,

I believe the three letter code was used from 1940 onwards, so that gfc would not appear in a 1938 list. Perhaps your list has maker's logos and not a three letter code. If they have a dot after each letter, then it is the capitals for the maker's logos or company names.

Apart from the gfc mark you may also find the code 1W on the MPD logo.

Funny thing is I was working on decoding some 25 bakelite items tonight and had a few that where gfc.
