Forum members, Probably not the right forum but thought I would start here.....Moderator please move at your discretion....
I came across a Bezard Czech compass today....I believe it's of WW2 vintage as it has 1938 on the lid....The gentleman had it listed as WW2 Russian, but I didn't recognize the writing as that of Russian....After looking at it for a while I noticed the Czech Lion on the plastic lens of the compass itself.....
My question is, did the Germans use these during WW2?....I know they used their tanks, machine guns, small arms and issued Czech gas masks to the Luftschutz....So, I thought it stood to reason, these were taken and used by the Wehrmacht as well.....Could any body ascertain or refute this, as I am curious.....I'm also interested in value, if they are at all that collectible....Please advise...Thanks kindly, Bodes
