this is a "parade" buckle, not a buckle to be worn in combat.

Very light construction. I have one as well. Seem to sell for about $100 or so in exc condition.

This was the one piece I doubted from a recent acquisition due to it being so lightly constructed. Parade buckle explains it but at least it is genuine period. Many thanks!
