          Thank guys for the replies...how much do you think one of these heaters are worth and what exactly did they use these for? I can't find any information on these.

            I would say they were platoon level, to heat, warm the food, etc. It is said they used them in Russia to keep the engines of vehicles warm also. Price...I don't know. I bought mine many years ago...and in Europe, so prices are different.

              it's a vehicle related item :
              a batterie heater from the "winter kit" of the Kubelwagen and other PersonenKraftWagen and Leichtkraftwagen !

                    Somebody said in another post that the czech used these after the war and that the writing was czech. My heater is dated 1942 and everybody is saying that these were used by the german army. It looks like german stenciling to me on the heater too. I'm going with everybody else and I believe that it's german.
