Hellon I nedd your opinions about this black mess kit. No markings anywhere. It's made of aluminium, no inner insert. Some give this for WW2 era... What do you think about ? Thank you.

Being unmarked and black I would think it is not for the Wehrmacht but for other paramiltar formations: RAD, Luftschutz, police, etc. and no too late war, as it's aluminium.

Hello, thank you for your opinions. I think Timothy says late war because the pattern is the same as the iron model, with a draught excluder like the irons. And a "unfinished" inner top. Thank you.Comment

Hello Aluminum was used in mid to later war mess kits I have a unmarked one only in darker green. Some of the late war aluminum ones had a inner tray inside them. timothyComment
