    Greetings All,
    Got this ammo pouch with unit mark, any info on this unit?
    Was it common to mark these with units?
    I just never seen, or noticed it before i guess.
    Thanks for any info
    Regards,
    Gary

      Very nice...

      Yes, the early eq was often unitmarked.

      Its for Inf reg 44...

      If it was for an artillery unit you would make me cry and Pm you 1000 times begging you to sell it for me...haha

          Yes....the K98 pouches have their unitmarks there.

          On fairs i always open up the early ones just to see if unitmarks are there.

          Never found one with artillery unit though.......exept one time.

          I got 2 pouches from a friend at work, he told me he found it in his relative house in Norway, and gave me 2 pouches at work....i opened one up.....Artillery unit markings......i almost fell of the chair at work

          Here i look for years on fairs and forums with no success....and one walks into my job..lol

            agree: the marks in the early equipment were stamped, inked or with a glued cloth label of his owner.

                Stempel= Unit stamp
                Namen= Soldier's name
                These marks were discontinued at the start of the war
                The I roman is the state of the collection :

                  The lidstraps can occasionally be unit-stamped as well.

                  I have seen that on several early Luftwaffe pouches.

                  There is an example here (scroll down on page of link):
