    Web strap for?

    Hi,

I found this strap on fleamarket for cheap price, but donĀ“t know what is it. Do anybody know if it is WW2 strap and for what?

    Thank you

IMHO it is not WW2 German. I've never seen these hooks before in anything WH-related, no matter pioneer, horse-drawn etc. Secondly it has been tailored in very crude way. See the widder webbing ends? Where is the border???

Have You ever seen web items made by German factories before 1945 simply left CUT on the edges? Not even folded....What sort of webbing is that? Not even close to the real weave.

Post war German (friction buckles used), possibly early NVA.

I agree, presumably an early DDR / KVP Item

For me a WWll strap, good material, buckles are WWll too, same ones are present on some pioneer bags, my hooks are different and look also WWll, the ones on this example are uncommon but some strange hooks are also know on 100% WWll items, for example on some KM bread bag straps…
