Messkit - marking on odd place?

Had never seen messkits with markings on this place before and now I have seen two in a short time. Is this correct or fake?

I just found out that markings on the handle did exist.

I think it is particular to this maker.

I had thought only WJ. Has anyone else seen an HRE - 44 stamp on a handle?

To be honest, never saw a HRE marking on the Handle before.......

Indeed, the WJ ones normally are stamped on the handle.......

And, what's more, I also never have seen steel ones from HRE, and when you look at the handle attachment, these are normal for steel ones and not Alu ones

So if it is repainted, restamped or anything else... I don't know .

Are the handle attachments stamped ??

Giancarlo: did you see that before ??

For the WJ messkits it is common that they are marked on the handle but they also can be found with markings in the regular place.

I have never seen a HRE marked messkit with the mark on the handle before.

But atm there are tons of close to mint - mint HRE messkits available.
They are available in such a quantity that I first thought they had to be reproductions.
But after observing it for a while also variations started to pop up. The most common are the all alu ones, then you have the ones with steel attachments on the sides and also ones with steel handles.
This is the first one I see that has the marking on the handle.

It looks wrong, feels wrong, and doesn't actually make any sense.
But it might be just a new variation.

Does actually anybody have a clue where all those HRE messtins are coming from? Maybe that could shed some light on this matter.

The other one I saw with this marking was also a HRE. I have a bad feeling about these...

                      He sold more of them.

                      auction 1
                      auction 2
                      auction 3

The stamp is different than on the ones with the regular stamp.
All of the other messkits are stamped HRE.42 HRE.43 HRE.44 while the ones stamped on the handle are stamped HRE 44
The dot is missing and the space between maker and year is pretty big.
Earlier original HRE messkits didn't have the dot either though.

brackelmann = known seller of faked items.

Look at his "Kameradenhilfe" sewing kits. All fake !
