Early cup less canteen-Need ID on this please

Early cupless style sa/ss/nskk canteen,,,brown wool cover with retaing strap and clip that is marked "1939",,canteen itself is dated "1935" and black painted cap dated(?) "40" with makers mark of "mkk"..any info on this item will be appreciated,,,,thanks,,,robert

in my opinion botte and cap do not belong together, they should have the same makers mark
