    Yet another Spatentasche for review

    Hi all,
What does everyone think of this one? It appears to be unused - never looks like a spade was placed in it. Presstoff material looks & feels correct, but some unusual things: Fine machine stitching on the die-cut edges (the edges of parts not sewn together). Looks like a reinforcement, so that the layers of Presstoff won't come apart (I've never seen this before). Black thread, thin leather on lower straps.
Leather is old & a bit stiff (no smell). Maker's mark is "kvz", which I've seen on K98 pouches and frogs (sometimes in a "box"). WaA looks like "201" or "204". Anyone have one like this, or know the maker? Original, or old repro? SF Mike

I guess you are writing about loops for belt. Agree, it's look like they have been replaced.

Thanks for the replies Grubby and Marcin. Having the item in hand, I would say the loops are original. There is no evidence of anything being re-stiched. I think they look a bit more pristine in the photos - they are cracked a bit on the inside, and stiff. It all looks like this pouch was just put away and never used. The lower straps have more "wear", but it looks like they've just been flattened from years of storage. I had to actualy peal the cover open to get a spade into it - it had been stored for a very long time I'd say. SF Mike
