hey Guys. posting some pics for a member who wanted to see some pics of my Heer blanket. I really like this example as it was definitely issued and used. very heavy material and it has a good woven in blue/red stripe. plus the remnants of some stenciled numbers. maybe a roster number? you dont see these much anymore. hope you enjoy the view. Hello everyone,
between the blankets used by German soldiers I see that there are strong shades of gray and other shades of white, both with the classic bands of red and blue. This difference in color has a meaning or is due to different batches of cloth available to the various manufacturers? Can we say that the white blanket was produced at the beginning of the war and gray blanket in the late war time?
