Hello,
I found this Armeesattel and like to check some features.
The saddle is missing a few parts like stirrups and saddle pads and some straps are cut.
The most interesting part are the markings found on the saddle seats.
The markings are WW1 dated 1915 and from the 1.G.U.R and reichswehr 3
R.R 3?
Also i found markings like 8.D.R.8 its a unknow unit for me.There is also a great chance this saddle was used in ww2 by a cavalry unit
I know the M15 and M25 are almost the same but is this a mixed set-up with parts from both models..
Its not the nicest saddle,but the unit markings are not often seen i think
There is also a litte reichswehr/weimar eagle marking,but not quite vissible.
Would be nice to upgrade the saddle with the missing parts and equipment
