Now is WA good for do a authentification ?
    Not shur .......... Many thanks.
    Mate,

It does not matter where they come from or how long you have had them.

If you just want everyone to agree with you before you sell them then I think you will struggle a little.

Number 3 looks, from the photos a bit too knew, that may be the flash, I don't know.

The strap is identical to East German/Eastern European masks that you see often enough on the Flohmarkt here in Germany?

I would think 'uscob' would know about that since he appears from his posts to dabble a bit in surplus?

Regarding No.3 - straps like this were made pre-war too. I've never seen any made in Eastern Europe but I agree that from these pics it looks fishy.

Same reason for paint on the container:- pictures. All You need is take it outside and shot few pictures. To me No.3 is good. I like aging on the edges, texture of the paint and method of painting (it is not present spray-paint or airbrush).

      Very good discussion Gents

        Gruhby,

You will know these horrible grey enamel type painted cans that appear to be for Firemans use?

They have AuerBerlin on the lid, they are postwar, I always thought East German since that was what I was told a while a go(I think?), those are the cans I have seen these type of strap fitted to in the past?

In particular with the shiny looking nylon type webbing?

          Jock,

apart from "AuerBerlin"cans, straps with leather reinforcements were made pre-war. It is hard to judge that You have nylon or silk-like cellulose webbing there

            Grubhy,

Is this 'cellulose' webbing war time or prewar then?

            How does it burn?

                Oh dear!

Maybe WAF is not the place after all for 'authentication'!

                    RAPH,

I am unsure what you mean?

We could all do that then visit Lexicon etc?

I have and the unit appears to have been in the East?

I can't see any reference to anywhere exotic only the East?

Am I blind and if I am, could not some-one have typed up a Feldpost number as required for any story there after.

You would think that was a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) by now for the fraudster.

I am not saying the originator is one by the way, just that he may, just may have been duped.

I think Martin will have another view though?

Do you live with Ralf Haas? - you must as the room is the same one as the one where you showed an SS m42 helmet "he" was selling, now I see your other little "issue" with an m43 cap,not much doubt about you.

                        Dear.
I no have any relation with Ralf Hass.
When I'm try to sell a item this is always negative, very strange I receive a lot of email for buy.
But this is not the problem, I have not sell the SS everybody say as this is a fake and Kelly Hicks confirm me also, than I don't want sell him. And you never see this helmet again on any forum !
Now about the cap she come from a old collector on France, the buyer don't want Ok, the moderator want as I'm take she back, I do.
But I don't responsable from the delivery....
                        Thank you.
(and I don't like Ralf Haas)
