To be or not to be,That is a question..

Received a pair of jacket boots with 150ea hobnails, condition is not good because they lost many hobnails and in heavy wearing ,Should I repair them or let them go??

    ...........Heavy wearing

"19" marking on the heel, the "19" is size mark or something else please?
another question is ,How to remove their HEAVY THICKNESS BLACK Shoes WAX !!

    Regards

    LEAVE THEM ALONE !!!!!!!!!
They are as the soldier left them!!!19 on the horse-shoe shaped heel reinforcement is the size of the beschlagt(hsshr) and a sure way to remove te crud on your boots would be scraping it off(GENTLY!)with a spatula.you could even go all the way and remove the encrusted dirt altogether but in this case you should use chemicals like laquer tinner, but it requires experience not to leave the boots perfectly clean in places and to avoid to work the dirt further into the leather in other!I'd leave them like found...they're original and beautifully worn "THERE AND THEN"!
    Hope that helps
