    Ammo pouch question

    Hello!

    Just bought this pouch from Germany eBay and now I´m wondering if there is a collector who can tell me more about this special maker mark. Was this maker located in France? Did the firm work for the Lfw?

    Maker mark Lemercier Aviation 1942

      I have one stamped "Lemercier aviation 1943"..

      This pouch had been picked up in 1944 after an allied air attack against a german convoy in southern France..

      Any info about this maker ?

        French Manufacture

        Niedersachsen, Battler,

        LEMERCIER AvIATION is a famous French Manaufacture, before war they used to produce a lot of leather flying suit for civilian and French Army pilots. During war they produced for WH, for instance I only know these 98K pouches but I am sure we can find pilot or KM leather uniform from this firm !
