          Looks like British webbing?

              Thanks Guy's it looks like 50/50. Jock to me as the leather strap to hold the metal buckle it's German, as I have never seen the British use this system.

                Mate,

                The construction looks good but the weave of the material looks a bit courser than any I have seen.

                To be fair I have not seen that many but when they look a bit shiny and new I am always a bit suspect.

                It may be worth having a search for modern re-enactors copies to compare them?

                I am happy to be wrong as every day is a school day.

                Just being cautious!

                  Jock I forgot to add this is a unused belt so it's in mint condition, and your'e right mate you need to check every thing in this hobby of our's, and this is the right place to do it plus I have dealt with this dealer in the past and have had no bad purchases as yet from him.
