    Pencil case for mapcases

    Hello everyone,

today I received this mint case for pencils.

The push buttons are marked with "Stocko"

Under the eagle there is "1943"

    Any doubts?

    Best regards

    Stephan

The RB number and eagle stamps are fake, I am sorry to say.

      Thank you Chris.

Can you tell me the why do you think they are fakes?

Well, for one thing, I don't think these were issue items and if there was any maker mark I would expect it to be of the type found on commercially available items and not an RB number. Not only that, but RB number stamps on leather goods were generally not ink stamps but metal stamps like the eagle stamp. The eagle and 1934 stamp is a fantasy stamp that did not exist in WWII and there should not be any eagle stamp on this type of item, in any case.

I would put this into the 1950's Corner. I remember a very similar Case for the East German KVP, for the differnt coloured Map Marking Pencils. There wasn't the small Metal Container, what I think is for dividers Pencil Mines.
