    Luft 0xygen Mask Advice

    Hello,

I have found a complete 2 point mask (no helmet/original straps) I have been after, however I don't know if the price is too high, it seems a lot, François posted a picture of his recently here:

    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d=158119&stc=1

Can you advise how much these cost at the moment.

    Thanks for your help,

    Craig.

Is the one pictured the one for sale? Is it offered as 100% original or a rebuild? What is the asking price?

      Hi Gene,

No this is not the one for sale, but it is offered as 100% original (not a rebulid)with a money back guarantee.

Here are the best pics I can muster.

      It looks nice.

      Cheers,

      Craig.

          Hello Craig ,

Do you have more pics of the mask..?

          Inside etc ?

          The straps look original..

Maybe a pic of the springclamp too ?

          Jos.

            Hi Jos,

This is the last pic I have, unfortunately I don't have any of the interior of the mask.

            What do you think??

            Regards,

            Craig.

An interior pic is crucial. Many of these were recovered from water and rebuilt, some with original parts.

                Hello,

OK thanks for the warning. I can't at this point provide photos, but I will do my best to acquire them. What are the tell tale signs of a water find? Is there a particular something to look for?

Assuming this piece is in good condition and 1000% original, what would you estimate the price to be?

                Thanks,

                Craig.

Like Gene said , it all depends on condition etc..

The rubber has to be in good condition and no rips and cracks etc.. ,also the inner parts have to be complete and in working order etc.

If I would buy one ,I would ask large ,sharp pics ,all angles ,inside ,details etc..

If the mask is good preserved ,no problem ,if it shows several minor cracks on certain places ,beware and be careful with it..

The price depends on what you are prepared to pay for it..
A good one isn't easy to find ,so ,they're scarce...

I always have a wide range concerning prices for a item like this..

Let's say... : between $ 800.- and $ 2750.- ,this doesn't help much ,but it's hard to compare prices when there 're none..

Just the way I see it..

Yes ,try to get other ,better pics before you buy a item like this..easy does it.

                  Jos.

                    Hi Jos,

Thanks for the information. This particular piece is around $1,330, so it is in your price range and if genuine, comparatively cheap.

I will be careful, but I guess at that price and considering how good condition it 'appears' to be in, I am very interested. Once I have more photos I will post them here.

                    Thanks alot for the advice.

                    Regards,

                    Craig.
