    Pioniersturmgepäck

    Hello Guys!!
    I have a question
What do you think of those pockets made with skin type Italian gray-green??
you think it is a late-war model or both in the case of a post war production for the Czechoslovak Army?
(sorry but now I can not find a picture of these pouches with leather straps)
such as Y-cavalry with added straps always in gray color green?

If you mean the Pionier gepäck with straps made out of italian leather: they are definately original !

I've been able to inspect several of them, but never have been able to find a complete set, otherwise I probably would have bought them

          Tom,

They are still linked with the strap on the back...often cut off Im told.

Im still looking for the short spade. If you see one Tom let me know....

Sorry Tom the yellow ersatzleder Drahtscherentasche is a keeper. I was so very lucky to get it.

Did anyone see backpack with italian green leather straps? Pionier spade for this set was shorter-you have vehicle spade. Try hanging it without backpack! Is joining strap web or also an italian material? Your wire cutter cover is very rare-hang on to
it! Ive seen red paint before on such pouches. You could try stuffing side pchs with stick grenades in another display idea. I like these iti-german mixes. And yes, often early green web belt buckle tabs used for reverse side loops. You have a set that surely ranks as one of the 'dream sets' for most wehrmacht gear collectors. Congrats! Warning-skilled modern artisans have made some very good copies in recent years, using original parts, and can be sold by some dealers as original.

                            Hello Tom!!
                            I have a question....
I was told that after the 43 has been abolished the side buckle for the shovel and you began to see models with shoulder straps made in the Factory...
                            have you heard about?
                            look this photo on internet

OK, here is my "italian leather" set, both front pouches are simply made without ammunition small pockets and never had connecting strap:
