    k98 sling

    Hello guys,

What do you think about this k98 sling and buckle?
The buckle is marked L&F, Linden & Funke KG, Iserlohn.

Are both sling and buckle original WW2 examples?

    Thanks in advance!

    Regards,
    Sven

your sling is not a brand new one and seems to have see real use but you have to know that the NORWAY army used a lot of german stuff just after the war included helmet and weapons.

for the weapons (Mp40, 98k...) they used original german slings but after a while they had to produced new ones which are smooth. I mean without the covering you can see on my sling (I don't know if I am clear in what I try to explain)

        hard to be sure

        regards

No, you don't need to see this kind of design , especialy when the strap is well used . The most important thing is the buckle .

So Pretorian81 please get, from Willem, photos of buckle from both sides and then we will be able to say if it is wartime or postwar strap.
