    Some Rings

Hated to put these on the ss section and ruin the gorget chain thread. Here are some rings I know about mostly , one needs to be shown, that may never be solved, the rest I will explain about.

First of course we have a Viking ring in Gold. We know there NEVER was a viking ring like this to my knowledge , and are considered fantasy items. Difference of this one iS this is in real 14k Gold, and europeans never marked Gold like that in the day, as it would have been marked 575.(for gold content as europeans still do.)

The mark can be seen on the right inside of the ring upside down:

The gold in this of course is now very valuable regardless of the fantasy aspect, and viking collectors sometimes wear these .

Here is a WW1 world war comemorative ring and is marked 800 inside . This one has chipped enamel and comes in many different configurations when found.

This is one I found at a flea market in Glendale Az in the 80's(Location:on the west side of town @55th and Bethany, which by the way is a good place to hit early on Saturday and Sunday mornings before light , for those who travel to AZ at the Glendale 9 outdoor theater), and have no idea if it is German WW2 or American ,but it is a PP ring ...has no markings , and I have never seen another like it to date or previously .

Great thing about this ring is it is a large size and fit me perfectly, but so does the viking ring.(skull is separately attached, a good feature)

And Last there is this skull ring ...it is NOT WW2 period, and also not German, so if you find one of these, they are cool looking but don't be fooled .

          It Is sterling .
Comments on the previous one I dubbed a PP skull ring welcomed , but its anybodys guess of its origin , as it could be a 40s ring and is also real silver, and has been worn a lot.(not the one above)
