Hey everybody, I'm in the process of restoring four truppenfahrrads and I need some help getting some items. I need any kind of specialty mounts like for the k98, tellermine, ammo boxes, lights, generators, chains, tires, seats, tool pouches, etc.

The problem with eBay is that a lot of people will not ship item to the United States. I have also checked out velo-classic.de but a lot of his stuff seems to be sold out and NO PRICES!


The guy these bicycles were bought off of bought them in Normandy France. He was over there in the early 90's and sent back a couple of shipping containers worth of ww2 surplus. These were said to come from the British sector in Normandy. Also in this purchase we got a BSA MK V Roadster bicycle.

Help me bring these pieces of history back to life and back on the road.

ive bought me an old NSU bike made in the late 1930s.. the former owner bought it from an old man who had found this bike at a german army barrack in 1945 here in the Netherlands. I want to to restore some bit and pieces, change tires and would like to attach an mg ammobox on the frame. i tried german ebay but they are all sold.
are there any other sites for these? also a replica would be fine for me.

could someone explain to me how those old front lamps work? it seems if there was a battery placed inside the lamp, i have no real clue at all..

dynamo on the front wheel powers it - you pedal and produce electricity that powers the light.

These lamps were battery or dynamo powered.

Is your rear hub marked with DRP ? Or DP / DBP. I got a feeling your bike is a postwar variant ( looking at the NSU emblem on the "balhoofd" ).

hi, i checked the German NSU forum. The bike is made in 1938-1939.
The tires are modern ones and the little plate is replaced at some time (there is another
small hole a few cms beneath this one). the frame number (1443622) confirms the date (1938-1939):

also the vordernabe (model 1933)

The hinter nabe has no markings exept the nsu neckarsulm break anchor attached to it.
