Canteen question

Hello

- How any holes does your leather closing strap use to have ? is this strap look shortened ?
(i don't have in hand actually i'll maybe acquire it)

- Does any cup could be switched and fit all canteen in theory ?

- What is this marking on the canteen cap ?

1- early canteen have 5 holes, but during the war has been also made straps with 7 holes.

2-Viewing this canteen, you can put there a steel cup or bakelite ones.

3-This is the maker of the bakelite composition.

But, dear friend, will be nice just a little bit of study before buying, expecialy for simply things like canteen.

No, alloy cups are generally taller then steel ones, but exist also steel caps taller likes alloys ones, not easy to find but exist
