                  Nice early Auer gas mask with early FE37 filter.
                  Canister seems to be period painted in Panzergrau. This is the second example on WAF in 2 days (see other thread)! Never saw a canister with a white rubber waterproofing ring (saw only black ones). Canister with this ring are scarce! In all you have a rather desirable (even scarce) example of a very common piece of equipment.
                  Only problem are the missing straps. You need early, pre-war straps with a aluminium or brass hook and a aluminium buckle, with alu or brass studs. These are not very easy to find in good condition!. Pity, I just sold a nice set on the Arlon show... Keep your eyes open on e-stand! Good luck and welcome to the smelly, dusty and rusty part of militaria collecting...
