    Hello!!!
    ackb my mistake....
    I did not realize that was missing the leather strap
    to see if the cap can be his, checks the date behind the buckle iron
    usually this type of cap is used on tropical canteen date 42
    but you can never know

      Hi ackb,
      The leather strap is there OK but looks a little streched, also the harness appears to be missing the aluminium stud on the bottom, variations of which have been kindly supplied by NZMark.

        Hi Mattia,
        Thanks for the input - can you show tell me how you know the studed example is post-war? I'm very interested in finding out more as this came from an NZ veteran's estate...and he didn't collect post-war.
