    WWII Riding boots?

    WWII German gear isn't my specialty, but I recently received these in an E/G lot. They were marked as E/G, but there was one particularly peculiar detail I missed when I first got them. Continental Tires wasn't in East Germany. I had a couple guys tell me that these very well could be German WWII, but I want the experts to tell me whether they are or not.

        Thanks, didn't know West Germany made leather soled boots through the 70's. Was it for the fashion?

          I'm not sure of the reason but they made these and the lace up boots with the leather soles up until at least the late 1970s. Actaully the U.S. Cocrahn jump boots had that same sole construction as these show thru at least the 1980s....I have no idea if they still do or even if they have been made for the last 20 years.
