    Large medic bag

    Gents,
I'd love to hear some more thoughts on this pretty large medic bag I've just got in.

    Cheers

                  Dear Edwin,

                  I don't have a clue.

I saw it too online and did like the general appearance and materials used in terms of likely german production.

But IMO not a bag that, if indeed of german ww2 production, was part of the 'official list' of medical gear.
Likely re-used by a medical unit - hence the hand-painted rc.

As already previously stated, a lot of non-medical equipement - all sorts of pouches, bags, boxes, etc... - was re-used in the field for medical purposes. Amongst them also a lot of beute-stücke. Could be well italian? Other axis-powers nationality?

Hope that someone can help you out!

                  Regards

                  Jan

material seems right, constuction seems to be ok. canvas material feels a bit like this FJ medic bags/covers..

                    Cheers

I didn't know about the buckles.

Well okay, not a good sign.

Edwin, maybe the guys at the BW section can confirm on the correct use/nomination of it?

1960's Bundeswehr Medical Replacements Storage Bag. they came with a pre-packed assortment of Medical supplies in different Styles, like for Wards, ER's etc.
