It is not the 1940 edition as I previously wrote...
it is the 1939 volume.
I am currently researching the producers of the gas mask cans ,
especially those that marked them only with their "trademark"
and not their name or the three letter code....we are so familiar with.
It helped me a lot !

I have already identified seven of these makers but unfortunately not yet the
"Vulcan" maker. But I have a "suspect" !

Sorry, in my opinion it has nothing to if you live in Germany or not. The problem is that you just copied a mistake without double checking.
Alone with the material provided by Bernhard in this thread it is very well possible to detect that mistake. No matter what country you live in or what language you speak.
Same thing with the MN maker, you just copied something without doing any further research.

Please don't get me wrong.
I'm really interested in all those makers and I'm glad whenever some new knowledge is shared by people who invest time and money deciphering them.
But at the same time it is sad to see when mistakes get copied over and over again.

This book looks impressive, I'm jealous.
Very good material for further proof of manufacturers.
Not only Feldflaschen. It is quite overwhelming to see that it seems to have even manufcturers of covers, leather parts and all other parts that were needed.
Is it as detailed for other equipment?

ALU - I HAVE NEVER SEEN THESE ON WW2 canteens or mess kits. I think it was used in the 20ies to mark "ALU"-MINIUM hardware

CFH - I have seen this on cutlery, but never on canteens/mess kits
