I just bought this today at the flea market and the seller said it's WWII HEER. I have not had a German compass before and though it appears to be german and military design I thought there should be some other property mark on it, like an ampt or something. He said the lanyard was original to the compass. Any input is appreciated, especially what it's worth. I paid $50 and hope I didn't over pay.

The Lanyard alone is worth 50$ if you ask me ...
To be honest, I never saw a webbing strap for the compass before so if it is original, it's worth the money allright
The lighting is not too good, so could you please take more pictures (with different lighting) of the compass with strap ?

That Lanyard itself is much more Worth than $50 and very rare from that Webbing Material. The Compass is also very nice.
