    Gasmask, rucksack and Helmet

I was offered this small lot consisting of a Rucksack, Gasmask with canister and a helmet.

The helmet looks to be a civil type with the extra ring stamped in the shell, strange fittings to the liner, can this point in another direction than German?

    Rucksack I think is pre ww2 ?

Gasmask and canister seems to be repainted but looks original and wartime?

All help and info is apriciated

    Thanks

    Bjorn

Canister and gas mask probably repainted like you state, the original colour on the mask itself is the blue you can still see at some spots.

The helmet indeed looks strange, do you have a picture from the inside?

a motley assortment of low interest gear, imo. ignore it all and press on!

Yes thats exactly my thought on this lot.

Still currious regarding the helmet, any thoughts on origin?

            Best regards

Got some more pictures from the seller...

Even if I dont buy this items I would like to know what the marking Br.55 in the rucksack stands for does it mean 1955?

                  Thanks

I think Br. 55 is more of a unit stamp. This Tornister is the 1895 type, which was used by paramilitary organisations during the TR. Could be a HJ, RAD, NSDAP (SA) or SS stamp (or even yet another organisation). IMO not military at all.
Take the corporal's advice. Low-end items.

                      the beaded M-42

The beading certainly looks much lighter than on other models.
I can't remember seeing a beaded M-42 before to my recollection.
I would say it saw service after the war in a civil capacity.
