were/are these german ww2 winter boots? they look it!

leather uppers scream wehrmacht, but felt sides dont have back strap. leather soles are wooden pegged, and the maker is clearly stamped. brilliant condition.
are these wehrmacht converted to early post war? or point blank post war? the side leather tabs, and a stamp below. any ideas welcomed.

These are East German boots. The marking in the triangle is VEB, Volkseigener Betrieb, a DDR marking.
