Here i am again.
Some more fieldgear to add to displays.
I had every intention of re-shooting this one today, but in a bizarre twist of fate i seem to have totally lost the tornister somewhere...i have the blanket and zeltbahn that were wrapped around it,but the backpack is MIA at the moment.
Bizarre.
It lifts the humble greatcoat into something a little more interesting i think.

There's a lot of nice gear on this thread - here's a couple of my mannequins (I'm tempted to get some with heads after seeing some of the ones here). First pic is an early war Infantry Oberleutnant (Plastic BB MP40 with paint job, I pick up a real one tonight! Wanted one for years!) and an Infantry Feldwebel (eventually to have the MP40 AND a set of MP40 pouches).

As a counterpart to my late war setup earlier, here we have an early war soldat.
This has many of the first items i ever bought when i decided to begin collecting uniforms and equipment, so it's quite special to me really.
This will finish my postings off as otherwise you'll all get bored of my similar (but different
) ammo pouches, waterbottles gasmasks etc.

This is Wolfgang's new setup!It depicts a Grenadiere as he would have looked like while fighting the Russian in Eastern Prussia in the closing stages of the war!
He wears a late-production M44 feldbluse(with white piped matching schulterklappen) a pair of water pattern padded trousers(with period,field repairs made with pieces cut off a splinter pattern Zelt or camo outfit) and an M43 with zig-zag sewn T insigna.An aertex shirt is worn under the tunic,its collar covering the tunic's one as per regulation(even if at thid date each soldier did his best to distinguish himself!),while he has chosen a pair of sturdy Bergschuhe as footwear.
The leather belt is 1944 dated and the Y straps are tropical issue(1942 dated)as is the carrying belt for MG ammo boxes.An M24 Stielhandgranade is under his belt while another is held by the strap of the entrenching tool cover(in tan presstoff and 1944 dated.The same year appears stamped on the bayonet,the byf(Mauser Oberndorf) coded K98k,the matching canteen(red primed steel) and the matching messkit).The brotbeutel is a very-late production one, with simple loops to secure it to the belt.The shelter quarter is secured to the Y straps back d rings.
The ammo pouches carry the same RBNr and are also dated 1944.
