    a highly useful clasp, turning up on lots of different heer gear. one example is the carrying straps for 18l water containers. passing resemblance to water canteen hanging hook; another example of german weakness; over-diversity of form. ground dug?

        I saw a pair of those on some narrow Y-straps described as "officer's Y-straps" and not usual. There are some post-war hardware that looks very similar to these but these are more narrow when compaired side by side.
