            Hello bh.

the glass of the bottle has no markings of the year and therefore is a bit suspect. The fabric strap inside your bag of bread used to be leather too, like the loops and hooks the strap of the canteen. Only the straps and hooks from the canteen were of cloth when the troops were intended in África. The pouches looks good of the WW2. Anyway, ask the experts they know much more than me.

What the Canteen is concerned, it looks to me like a put-together. 1939 dated bottle, 1940(?) dated felt, latewar strap(s), post WW2 unmarked-freshly painted cup.

The Canteen is a "put together" and the Cup is early Postwar, the Colour is typical for German Police Items from the 1950´s.

                Best Regards

As already stated the canteen is a put together, cup is for sure a 50’s era Polizei issue. The bread is fine, this is simply a variation. I have several with web exterior straps and leather inside as well as similar to yours leather on the outside web on the inside. What are the two short interior straps made from, can’t see them in the photos, I’m guessing web as well.

What the breadbag is concerned, I thought it to be a variation as well, but neing no expert, I did not want to chime in on that subject. Has the "S"-marks inside the breadbag any meaning? Are they WW2?

The Patronentaschen are looking good so far, are the dividers all there? Are they marked on the back?

                    Regards Sonnenwende
